SPEC MIX Tuckpoint mortar is a dry preblended mortar mix containing Portland cement, hydrated lime and dried masonry sand formulated for superior bond, water retention and board life. The mix design incorporates the maximum amount of lime for optimal bond to the masonry unit to permit the pointed wall to expand and contract, while mitigating the occurrence of potential cracking and spalling that is common with inflexible, high strength mortars.
