bagged sand (fine and mason)
TLC offers two types of bagged sand--Fine Sand and Mason Sand.
Our bagged sands are far superior to other bagged sands in that it is produced and packaged in a dry environment and the bag is made of non-permeable plastic. Rain, snow and ice will not penetrate the bag, so the sand is as dry and workable as the day it was packaged and it will stay dry in the bag. Additionally, freezing temperatures have no affect on the sand whatsoever.
The fine sand is 80 grit, and like the bagged mason sand, extremely uniform in gradation.
Common uses include:
- Pointing of Brick Work when mixed with mortar
- Brick and Block Work
- Any Cement or Mortar Application
- Sweeping into joints of bricks or Paver
The mason sand is 40 grit, and extremely uniform in gradation, meaning the granules are all the same size.
Common uses include:
- Brick Work
- Block Work
- Any Cement or Mortar Application
- Sweeping into joints of bricks or Paver
